Sterling S1015-2, USA 1997.

40 years after her debut album, Diahann released this little gem. She may no longer be able (or willing) to deliever the kind of powerhouse vocals she once did, but that is not a bad thing. She is 100% in control and she is able to express emotions with a voice that is textured and relaxed. Still sensual but with a layer of wisdom she takes these songs to a new level as she sings of love gained and love lost, about the time that's been and the time that is left. A truly intimate setting puts the melodies and the lyrics in the forefront, just as it should be.
